Feb. 28th, 2014 (Fri)

Today we celebrated Libby's 2nd Birthday!  Libby's mom, dad, and brother joined us to do some dancing and to enjoy some fun snacks (like strawberries, blueberries, and a delicious vegan cake!)  The class finished the day with some new stories and free play.  

Feb. 27th, 2014 (Thurs)

The students revisited our self portrait and face study today.  The students have been given photos of their faces to paint on top of and puzzles of each other's faces to rearrange and assemble.  I want the students to experience that we are all similar (in that we each have a nose, eyes, ears, hair), while also being very different.   

Feb. 26th, 2014 (Wed)

This week the class is focusing on facial features and talking about how to make a self-portrait.  The activities, readings, and conversations in class have all been based around these topics.  More portraits were taken by camera (see Arun as he points out his eyes, ears, nose, and mouth).  The students also painted on top of the photos we've been taking.
