March 31st, 2014 (Mon)

This morning, in anticipation of Spring, we continued to look at things that grow.  The class checked in on the seeds we potted last week and we also began an investigation with lima beans.  Lima beans are a great way to introduce plant growth to children.  These beans sprout very quickly and with minimal resources - all the bean needs is light and water to grow!  We will be documenting the progress of our lima beans daily, please check back in!

March 28th, 2014 (Fri)

Today we celebrated Zoe's 2nd Birthday and finished celebrating International Week!  The students completed a few of our international flags we started yesterday and we also put our pictures on a map of the world to talk about where each of us is from.  Zoe's mom, Natalie, read us two books: one about visiting London (Zoe's dad is British) and another about birthdays.  After reading we had fun using our alphabet stamps and stickers while wearing birthday hats!
