The class enjoyed another successful walk outside today on
the rope! We took a few pit stops as a
group, from time to time, to admire the building we walked near to. The students also spent some time in the
sandbox, revisiting the sensory experience.

Sept. 27, 2013 (Fri)
Nancy and I introduced a new painting technique
to the class today. We presented each
student with FROZEN tempera paint. The
students were able to collaborate and trade colors while adding to a communal
blank white canvas Nancy presented the students with. The students made a beautiful mess for Nancy
and I to enjoy and clean up, we enjoyed observing the students almost as much as they enjoyed the lesson.

Sept. 26th, 2013 (Thurs)
Nancy and I are excited to share that our class took a walk on
the rope around the block, outside today, as the 1B Train! Each student is learning to wait in line and
walk one behind the other. The class
also had the opportunity to revisit working with pastels and watercolor
paints.
Sept. 25th, 2013 (Wed)
Today the class revisited stringing beds and other items to pipe-cleaners. The class also practiced walking around the school on our rope. When we walk on the rope, we pretend the class is a train - Choo! Choo! All aboard the 1B train. Nancy and I soon hope to take more lessons outside with all the walking practice we've encouraged with the kids!
